Nick Lowery is a former American football placekicker who played for the Kansas City Chiefs for 14 seasons, from 1980 to 1993. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest kickers in the history of the NFL, and his number 8 jersey has been retired by the Chiefs.

During his career, Lowery set a number of NFL records, including the record for the highest field goal percentage in a single season (96.0% in 1990). He was also named to the Pro Bowl three times, and was named to the NFL's All-Decade Team for the 1980s.
